Legacy Impact Capital is a non-profit created with the goal to revitalize communities in order to raise quality of life through educational choice for children and secure housing for families. After years of focusing on expanding educational choice, the founders realized that school choice was not the only obstacle in providing children with quality education. As they collectively worked in the public charter school industry, systemic issues such as lack of affordable housing, food insecurity, and unemployment constantly resurfaced as barriers to quality of life for families and obstacles to high quality education for children in these communities. These issues required innovative approaches to redevelopment of the larger communities in order to provide fundamental support to high quality choices in education. To fully address these issues also requires focus on the health of communities through housing, food security, and employment. Without healthy communities, quality education is impossible to maintain.
With this realization, Legacy Impact Capital was formed to address the disparities in rural and low socio-economic regions by empowering entire communities and their leaders to create foundational changes to address the systemic issues to help insure their regions are viable in the 21st century and beyond.
